Damian Priest – 'WWE Warned Me Not To Put Dirty Laundry In My MITB Briefcase'

WWE warned Damian Priest to keep the contents of his Money in the Bank briefcase smelling fresh, the former World Champion has shared.
Priest won the briefcase at WWE Money in the Bank 2023 in London, England, and would cash in at WrestleMania 40 in April of this year.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Priest recalled WWE giving him some practical words of advice about holding the briefcase. He said,
“I wouldn't put my dirty stuff in because that was a complaint that they told me from the get-go. They're like, 'Hey, don't be like previous holders that put their dirty stuff in here and just ruined these briefcases.' I was, 'I'm good, don't worry.' I would just put stuff that like, toiletries or take my gear to a show in them. But yeah, I used it. I legitimately used it like a real briefcase. I didn't have paperwork, so I used other stuff, my sunglasses and stuff like that."
Priest received a customized briefcase during his time with the coveted contract that featured a purple design rather than the usual green.
Damian Priest’s time as WWE World Heavyweight Champion ended at WWE SummerSlam 2024 where he lost the title to GUNTHER thanks to Finn Balor.
