Two-Time WNBA All-Star Demands Trade Before 2025 Season

WNBA teams in the market for some offensive firepower are in luck this offseason. Satou Sabally announced that she won't return to the Dallas Wings for the 2025 season.
Sabally, a two-time All-Star, was named the Most Improved Player in 2023 due to her explosive year with the Wings. She averaged 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. Unfortunately for the former No. 2 pick, she missed time this past season due to a shoulder injury. The WNBA's mid-season break for the Olympics did give her time to return to the hardwood. She started in the final 15 games for the Wings, averaging 17.9 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest.
Even though Sabally has been very successful in Dallas, she's ready to move on from that chapter of her career. She made this announcement during Unrivaled's media availability on Thursday.
"I'm working with [the Wings organization] to find a next home for me, because I've already played my last game in Dallas," Sabally told reporters.
WNBA fans aren't surprised by this announcement. Sabally never signed a long-term contract with the Wings. She was on a one-year deal worth $195,000.
So, where can Sabally end up this offseason? Some fans are convinced she'll end up teammates with Caitlin Clark.
Back in October, the Instagram page for Overtime posted a graphic of Sabally along with this caption: "Satou teaming up with Caitlin? Kinda here for that narrative." Interestingly enough, Sabally liked that post.
Sabally, a former All-Pac-12 player, would give any team a huge boost to the offensive side of the floor next season. It'll be interesting to see where she ends up.
