FOX Sports Stops Radio Programming Due To California Wildfires

As sweeping wildfires continue to burn through Los Angeles County, causing mass evacuations and claiming the lives of at least 11 people, FOX Sports has decided to take the necessary steps to protect its employees.
With the blaze nearing FOX's studios and it already forcing personalities like Emmanuel Acho to leave their homes and the NFL to relocate Monday night's playoff game, the network says it will be pausing all live radio programming indefinitely.
"Due to the fires spreading near the FOX Sports Radio studios, we are prioritizing the safety and evacuation of our staff. For the time being, we will be airing pre-recorded programming," FOX shared late Friday night/early Saturday morning.
"Thank you for understanding, and please stay safe. We'll provide updates as soon as possible."

Obviously sports are secondary when it comes to matters as serious as this. But as with many families who have been upended in this scary and uncertain time, so have the people who make their living talking games.
FOX Sports Radio resides in the usually quiet suburb of Sherman Oaks. However, with the Palisades fire entering Day 5, evacuation notices have soared in the San Fernando Valley.
The scenes across Southern California have been horrific as the situation has quickly become ever recorded in the area (one that's no stranger to wildfires).
Authorities are still investigating the factors that could be responsible for the catastrophic event. But for now we'll just have to keep those in the affected areas in our hearts and minds as California fights this fight.
