Former NFL defensive lineman Chris Canty blew ESPN personality Mina Kimes' mind with a horrific take about the Dallas Cowboys this week.

Canty called out Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for proclaiming he was "all-in" this offseason, but didn't do much to improve the roster.

"All in to do what, make headlines?" Canty asked rhetorically, and angrily. "All in to do what, do podcasts? All in for the owner to do radio hits? They ain't all in on winning a championship. Does this look like a championship team to you?"

Canty, a fourth-round pick by the Cowboys back in 2005, believes the 2-2 team should pack it in and start to tank rather than try to compete in the NFC East.

"I watched the game last Thursday night and one thing became crystal clear: Neither one of those teams are going to be in the playoffs," he said. "This is a two-team race in the NFC East and it doesn't including the Giants and it damn sure doesn't include the Dallas Cowboys. And if that's the case, then why wouldn't you lean into the tank?"

ESPN's First Take used the clip as a lead-in for a segment and cameras caught an exasperated Mina Kimes who couldn't quite believe what she was hearing. Her reaction isn't wrong, either.

The Cowboys are 2-2 on the season and sit just a game out of first place in the division. Now isn't the time to panic, especially with a game against the volatile Pittsburgh Steelers coming up.
