Colorado Makes Changes To Deion Sanders' Show After NCAA Violations

Since joining Colorado as head coach in 2023, Deion Sanders has been hosting a regular YouTube livestreaming show. But it appears that Sanders may have stepped a foot over the line in one or more of his episodes because the athletic department is now making major changes to his show.
According to USA Today Sports, the Colorado athletic department is putting an end to Sanders' weekly livestream and has removed some episodes of his show from YouTube. Sanders will still have his show, he simply won't be able to livestream it, allowing the school to edit the videos in the events he says something that could violate any rules.
Per the report, the decision was made after Sanders mentioned quarterback recruit Julian Lewis during a show - a violation of NCAA rules.
Colorado acted quickly, self-reporting the violation to the NCAA and imposing their own corrective measures, including rules education for Coach Prime and a reduction in recruiting days next spring.

"The Colorado athletic department decided to stop livestreaming its weekly coaches show with Deion Sanders and also removed two episodes of the show from YouTube last fall after the name of a prominent football recruit was mentioned on it in violation of NCAA rules, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY Sports," the outlet reported.
"This minor violation happened in November, when the name of quarterback recruit Julian "JuJu" Lewis came up before he signed with Colorado Dec. 4. According to NCAA rules, schools generally may not publicize or comment on a recruit before officially signing that recruit. Colorado self-reported this violation and decided to impose corrective measures as a result, including additional rules education for Sanders, the head coach, and a reduction of four recruiting-person days in the spring 2025 contact period."
This infraction was one of a slew of them that the school self-reported. All of them were reportedly minor violations that were processed in 2024.
Lewis ultimately committed to Colorado, where he is expected to be the heir-apparent to Shedeur Sanders once he is ready to play football at the college level.
247Sports rates Lewis as the No. 115 overall recruit in the Class of 2025. He was the No. 9 quarterback in the nation and the No. 14 player from the state of Georgia.
