In their last game before Friday night, they also faced the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets struck first on a Kent Johnson goal to take the lead. Still, the Islanders would come back. Bo Horvat scored just 43 seconds into the second period to tie the game. The Islanders would take the lead on a shorthanded goal, and then Bo Horvat would score again to make it 3-1. After a scoreless this period, the Islanders took the 3-1 win. The Islanders will face the Flyers on Friday night.
