NFL Fans React To Potential Russell Wilson, Pete Carroll Reunion

The Las Vegas Raiders made a big splash on Thursday by hiring former Super Bowl champion Pete Carroll as their new head coach.
Carroll has been successful in both college and the NFL, as he's one of only three coaches in history to win both a national championship and a Super Bowl.
Carroll won that Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks, led by the incredible "Legion of Boom" defense featuring stars like Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.
Russell Wilson was the quarterback for that Super Bowl-winning team in Seattle, and there's potential for a reunion between Wilson and Carroll in Las Vegas.
Wilson could come in as the bridge quarterback while a younger prospect learns and develops under a proven veteran.

"Please let it happen," one fan said to a suggestion on Wilson and Carroll from NFL writer Peter Schrager.
"Wouldn't mind it as Bridge to next QB they draft," said another fan.
"I'm ok w/ Pete… but not Russ. He's been in decline since 2019," one fan suggested.
"Hell no if I'm a Raiders fan. Sign Sam Darnold or Justin Fields," another fan said.
"You coach up AOC and someone else long before you go down this predictable road," one fan said.
"I'm OK with Pete.... not thrilled, but he could put us back on the right track... maybe....idk... But hard pass on 'Mr. Unlimited'.... send him to NFL hell (Cleveland)," another fan said about the potential pairing.
"Wilson at QB, Waldron as OC please let this happen," said one fan.
"If they still have a good relationship I could see it. I like AOC but there's still a lot to be desired there. They can really do whatever they want at the QB position," another fan said.
The final fan's point may be the most important. The Raiders aren't committed to a franchise quarterback at the moment, so they have a variety of options when it comes to handling the position. Signing a veteran like Wilson is one option, and drafting a player like Shedeur Sanders or Cam Ward is another.
We'll see what Carroll and the Raiders decide to do this offseason as he builds the team ahead of his first season as head coach.
