As we reported earlier this year here on eWn, Daniel Garcia's AEW contract was set to expire in the fall, unless he’s already signed a new one.

According to a report from Fightful Select, one top name stated that he does not expect Garcia to go anywhere and also expressed their belief that Garcia has already re-signed with the company.

Garcia, who is just 26 years old, would have offers elsewhere if he didn’t wind up re-signing AEW. While WWE didn't originally sign Garcia when they had the chance, they told him that if anyone else was interested in him, they would sign him sooner. AEW later signed Garcia to a full-time contract in October 2021.

Those close to Garcia reportedly said his future would come into focus soon.

Will Ospreay vs. Daniel Garcia for the AEW International Championship will take place on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

During a recent appearance on the “Good Karma Wrestling” podcast ahead of tonight's AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, Willow Nightingale commented on this year's Owen Hart Cup tournament and why the stakes are much higher this time around. She said,

"I'm in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. I did win that last year, but last year, the stakes were not as high. I think I won the tournament, and for me, it was kind of more like a statement. This year, there's stakes of going to Wembley, which I did not get to do last year, which was a big chip on my shoulder for the second half of the year. So I want to go to Wembley, I want to wrestle for the Women's World Championship because I have not done that, and that is definitely a big goal of mine. Winning there would be beautiful, dream moment, chef's kiss. That's the big one for me right now."
