Renee Paquette briefly responds to Jon Moxley getting a spiked bat stuck in his back on AEW Dynamite.
On the March 19th episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley battled Cope in a Street. During the match, Cope suplexed Moxley onto a spiked bat in what was one of the most gnarly spots in memory. The bat got stuck in Moxley’s back, and Wheeler Yuta and others had trouble getting it out. Mozley went on to win the match following plenty of interference. The suplex spot received mainstream coverage, as it was highlighted by TMZ.
In a post on Instagram, Renee Paquette, Jon Moxley’s wife, shared her brief reaction by sharing a picture of Moxley with the bat stuck in his back. She wrote, “My emergency contact” on the image.
Moxley will put his title on the line again in a few weeks when Swerve Strickland challenges him for the gold at AEW Dynasty. Strickland previously earned a title shot at AEW Revolution. There, he beat Ricochet in a singles match. Strickland will aim to become a two-time world champion when he faces Moxley.
