Jeff Jarrett wants to give fans the floor.
Jarrett spoke with WrestleZone while promoting his new role on the Acclaim video game publisher advisory board. Jarrett was asked if there’s an accolade or career moment he’d like people to speak about more often. Instead of picking a specific moment, Jeff Jarrett said that he just wants to hear back from the fans in general, because he respects their view a great deal.
"There's a lot of talk of tribalism, and this and that. It goes without saying, I embrace it because I was taught at a very young age that — and look, it's going on in sports. Is LeBron the G.O.A.T., or is Michael Jordan the G.O.A.T.? Is Patrick Maholmes or [Tom] Brady? Just all the different things. Politics, I'm not gonna be getting into that, but it's super divisive across the board. Professional wrestling, it lends itself to that," Jeff Jarrett continued. "So, I love that the wrestling audience engages at such a high level."
Jarrett agrees that some topics are very divisive, but that’s the world we all live in. He’d rather put the ball in the fans’ hands and let them carry the conversation.
"What I think about my career, good, bad, or indifferent, it's kind of irrelevant. I’d like to hear what you want to ask about. Whether it is, like you said, whether its a TNA story, a USWA story, a WWF, WCW, AEW, World Title, Hall of Fame, it doesn't matter. I really, really have that much respect for, I’ll call it the 'wrestling consumer.'"
