"Big" vs. "Predator"?

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter-turned-Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) boxer Ben Rothwell scored a violent knockout at BKFC KnuckleMania 5 last night (Sat., Jan. 25, 2025) when he slept Mick Terrill to win the Heavyweight title inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa (watch highlights).

After his massive win, "Big" was asked during the post-fight press conference (watch here) who he wants to fight next, and he had a name locked and loaded.

"Yeah, Francis Ngannou," Rothwell said. "We need to get some big names in this because I don't know who is on the roster, especially after tonight, who is jumping up to fight me. They'll say it, but when it really comes down to it, and I'm standing in front of you, things change...As a Heavyweight, I'll fight anyone, that's my responsibility. So bring them on."

While Ngannou is still under contract with Professional Fighters League (PFL), a fight with Rothwell isn't out of the question because he only has one more fight left on his contract.

The problem would be Ngannou's hefty purse and if BKFC can muster up the money to pay him. If you remember, in 2023, BKFC was unwilling to pay "unrealistic money" to Ngannou, which led him to sign with PFL.

Time will tell.
