Highlights! Rothwell Delivers KO From Hell To Win Title

Former UFC contender Ben Rothwell became the new BKFC heavyweight champion last night (Sat., Jan. 25, 2025) at BKFC "KnuckleMania 5" LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn., knocking out now former champion Mick Terrill with a terrifying first-round punch.
Rothwell possesses incredible punching power and odd entries. It's a terrible combination for any one of his opponents so Terrill knew he would been in for a long night. Unfortunately for the champion, his attempted title defense lasted just 36 seconds. It was certainly a shock to Terrill, but a delight for the 17,000 fans in attendance.
Rothwell, who came into Saturday night with a 3-0 BKFC record and three knockouts, unloaded a ridiculous right hand that connected flush and instantly turned Terrill's lights off. Terrill violently crashed to the canvas and the fight was immediately waved off. Rothwell walked away with the BKFC heavyweight title in hand and a post-fight photo with part-owner of BKFC, Conor McGregor.

Rothwell, 43, has found a nice home as BKFC's most imposing heavyweight fighter. The former UFC contender left MMA after a 32-second knockout loss back in 2021, but now appears unstoppable with the gloves off and his opponents forced to throw hands.
