John Garbarino proposes to girlfriend after scoring vicious KO win
After selling a huge chunk of the tickets for BKFC’s debut at Wells Fargo Center, John Garbarino knew that he had to make the most of his appearance on the big stage. A veteran of MMA, he was well prepared for fight week, going viral when he offered Conor McGregor a canoli at Friday’s weigh-in.
However, this all meant that he had to deliver in the ring, and he did just that with a stunning first round knockout of Apostle Spencer in the dying seconds of the first round. Spencer attempted to get up after being floored, but the referee stopped proceedings much to the crowd’s delight.
And Garbarino made it an even more special as he invited his long-time girlfriend into the ring to celebrate with him. After making a brief speech, he got down on one knee and proposed, to which she said ‘yes’, making for another viral moment.
