Travis Hunter Makes Decision On Agent Heading Into 2025 NFL Draft

Travis Hunter reportedly secured new representation before beginning his NFL career.
The Heisman Trophy winner completed his Colorado tenure with 106 receiving yards and a touchdown in Saturday's Alamo Bowl loss to BYU. Most mock drafts project Hunter as the top non-quarterback in next year's draft.
According to David Rumsey of Front Office Sports, Hunter chose an agency for on-field representation. The two-way star reportedly signed with Young Money APAA Sports.
Young Money's famous founder, Lil Wayne, has emerged as a superfan of Deion Sanders' Colorado program. The rapper has attended games and performed at this year's spring exhibition. Shedeur Sanders opened at one of Weezy's concerts later in the year.
Lil Wayne was in New York earlier this month to watch Hunter win the Heisman Trophy. Hunter shouted out the rapper in his acceptance speech, admitting that he was unfamiliar with Wayne's work until his girlfriend introduced him.
"I didn't know none of your songs until she let me know because I don't listen to music," Hunter said. "She told me, 'You've got to listen to this. If you don't listen to music, listen to Wayne.' And from that day on, that's all I listen to. Pre-game music, those are the songs I listen to. When I get to that [Dodge Ram] TRX and I blast that music, I'm listening to Wayne."
Hunter then impersonated Lil Wayne when reciting a line from "6 Foot 7 Foot."
According to Spotrac, Hunter could make approximately $42.2 million on his first NFL contract if he's taken No. 1 overall. That became more likely when the New York Giants won on Sunday and pushed the New England Patriots atop the 2025 draft board with one week remaining.
Hunter's future earnings will vary based on his NFL position. He excelled as a wide receiver and cornerback at college, but receiver is a more financially lucrative spot.
Young Money APAA Sports also represents offensive lineman Jeheim Oats, who transferred from Alabama to Colorado. Additionally, quarterback Darian Mensah reportedly signed a two-year, $8 million NIL deal believed to make him college football's highest-paid player when transferring from Tulane to Duke.
According to Rumsey, Hunter will stay with SMAC Entertainment for his off-field business. He signed an Adidas deal with the company, which also represents Deion and Shedeur Sanders.
