Saints Interim Coach Updates Chris Olave's Status Amid Concussion Concerns

The New Orleans Saints won't have wide receiver Chris Olave for this Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Per interim head coach Darren Rizzi, Olave won't play due to a concussion. The team is trying to figure out what's best for Olave in the long term after he was knocked out of last Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Olave has met with the Saints and some people outside the team facility as they all try to figure out what's best for him. Olave compiled one reception for 13 yards against the Panthers before he was knocked out while trying to catch a pass.
Panthers safety Xavier Woods hit Olave before Olave was taken out of the stadium to be evaluated at a local hospital. He was later released from the hospital and flew home with the team.
"Thank God💯 Always keep ya faith & never let people tell you what you can & can't do. It's a lot worse goin on in the world than whatever you goin thru so be grateful for what you got before it's taken away from you. Tough times never last," Olave posted on Instagram this week.
The only thing that matters right now is Olave's well-being. Once he's feeling okay, then they can figure out when he can come back to play.
Before getting hurt, Olave had compiled 32 receptions for 400 yards and a touchdown this season. That comes after he started his NFL career with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
Kickoff for Sunday's Falcons-Saints game will be at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
