Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick took a small shot at the New York Jets on Monday night.
Belichick loves taking a shot at the Jets whenever he can and did again during Monday's "Manningcast" of the Bills-Jets game. Peyton Manning felt the Jets fired Robert Saleh a bit too early and Belichick agreed.
"That's kind of what it's been there at the Jets -- barely won over 30 percent in the last 10 years. The owner being the owner, just ready, fire, aim," Belichick said.
Fans on social media loved what Belichick said.
"And people ask me why I don't think Bill would even consider the Jets job," one tweet read.
"Yeah, Bill Belichick ain't going to the Jets," another tweet read.
"Welp, you can take Belichick off Woody Johnson's list of potential head coaches in 2025," another tweet read.
"Doesn't sound like Bill Belichick will be interested in the Jets job this offseason," another fan tweeted.
The Jets lost to the Bills by three, 23-20. They're now 2-4 but help is on the way after they acquired Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday.
They're trying to do anything to save this season and make the playoffs.
