"GameDay" is currently on pace for its best season ever with an average of 2.2 million viewers per broadcast (up 6% year-over-year).
We knew going into the fall that it would be a college football season unlike any other with the 12-team Playoff and conference realignment and its shown in the ratings across several of the sport's major networks.
Fans also flooded Kirk's mentions holiday messages for he and his family dog.
"Happy Thanksgiving Kirk!! Peter looks like a true Buckeye!!" a user said.
"Pete is starting to look so comfy on that field," another replied. "He will make Ben proud."
"Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Kirk!! Make sure Peter gets a turkey leg! Can't wait to see you all Saturday!"
"I enjoy GameDay more than any show on TV. I know a lot more goes into it than meets the eye, but I see 6 bros having fun and doing something they all love. Ben and Pete are the icing!"
The "College GameDay" crew is gassing up the bus for this weekend's Texas showdown between the Longhorns and Aggies.
The game will be broadcast at 7:30 PM ET on ABC and ESPN+ live from Kyle Field.
