The National Football League continues to push through the 2024 preseason with the regular season right around the corner.

Preseason games in the NFL will continue on Sunday, with a couple of more weeks on the schedule, before the start of the regular season in early September. The Chiefs and the Ravens are scheduled to kick things off in the regular season on Sept. 5 in Kansas City.

Ahead of the start of the 2024 regular season, ESPN's computer model, the Football Power Index, has ranked the 10 best teams in the league.

The Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions, come in at No. 1 on the list. That is no real surprise.

  1. Chiefs
  2. 49ers
  3. Ravens
  4. Lions
  5. Eagles
  6. Bengals
  7. Cowboys
  8. Bills
  9. Packers
  10. Texans

The Chiefs will head into the 2024 regular season as the favorite to win it all once again. Kansas City is coming off back-to-back Super Bowl championships and they will look to make it three in a row this fall.

But Andy Reid's team will have some stiff competition in the AFC, especially from their Week 1 opponent in the Baltimore Ravens.

Kickoff between the Chiefs and the Ravens is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. E.T. on Thursday, Sept. 5. The game will be airing on NBC.
