Colin Cowherd Thinks NFL Team Should Pursue Notre Dame Coach Marcus Freeman

Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman is getting set to coach in the biggest game of his life on Monday.
Notre Dame is playing Ohio State for this season's national title on Monday and it is expected to be a great game.
While his sole focus is on preparing for that game, there's a chance that he could interview for an NFL job soon. Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Chicago Bears would like to interview Freeman for their head coaching vacancy.
"I am told the team wants to interview Notre Dame's Marcus Freeman for the job," Pelissero said this past Sunday. "Freeman is in the midst of a magical run with the Fighting Irish to the National Championship Game. Obviously, unlikely that he would entertain NFL overtures prior to that game a week from tomorrow against Ohio State but the Bears have done extensive research for months on Marcus Freeman."

Colin Cowherd saw the report and even though he would go with Mike McCarthy,
"He's the closest thing I have seen to Sean McVay," Cowherd said. "And when Stan Kroenke interviewed Sean McVay, the LA Rams owner, he would not let him on the plane before he signed. And if you have ever been around Sean McVay or watched him at the podium, bro, he's different."
"Marcus Freeman has the chance to be the youngest coach to ever win a national championship. And I look at him and think, if you meet him and you see his energy, McVay went to a Rams team that was worse than the Bears. They were 4-12 and the worst offense in the league, and their quarterback, (Jared) Goff, went 0-7. The next year, the Rams won 11 games and had the No. 1 ranked offense. I'm not saying Marcus Freeman is a quarterback expert but Riley Leonard is a lot better at Notre Dame than he was at Duke, and this team should not be playing for a national championship. My point is, some people are simply different."
Freeman has done a great job at Notre Dame over the last three seasons since taking over, compiling a 33-9 record.
We'll see if the Bears can secure an interview with him once the college football season is over.
