Carson Beck Could Bring 'Elite Wide Receiver' To Miami

Carson Beck was in the transfer portal for less than 48 hours before he committed to Miami.
The former Georgia quarterback entered the portal with a "do not contact" tag, meaning that he knew where he wanted to go when he entered the portal.
He committed to the Hurricanes on Friday and according to Brad Crawford of 247Sports, an elite wide receiver could leave his program during the spring portal cycle to come play with Beck in South Florida.
Crawford didn't specify a particular wide receiver since the spring portal cycle isn't open yet.
If Miami can land Carson Beck, I'd expect an elite WR to leave his current situation during the spring portal cycle and link up with the Canes.

This is the second straight year that the Canes have landed a top quarterback out of the portal. They landed Cam Ward out of the portal last year and he went on to have a dynamite 2024 season, finishing with 4,313 yards through the air, 39 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
He helped the Canes win 10 games and is expected to be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Canes are hoping that Beck can lead them to even greater heights next season since they have ACC title and CFP hopes. They were close to an ACC title this year but lost to the Syracuse Orange in their final game of the season.
That loss knocked them out of the ACC title and CFP race.
Beck comes over from a Bulldogs program that won this season's SEC title before losing to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the quarterfinals of the CFP. Beck had to miss that quarterfinal game due to an elbow injury but will be fully healthy for the 2025 season.
He finished the 2024 season with 3,485 yards through the air, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
Beck's first game with the Canes will be on August 30 against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
