NJPW aims to retain TJP and has been actively engaging in negotiations.

TJP is slated to team up with Francesco Akira at Wrestle Kingdom 19 for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.

Kevin Knight, one of the reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, also has his NJPW contract nearing its end.
