Paul Heyman Praises "Commerce Facilitator" Cody Rhodes As WWE's Top Star

On a recent edition of Logan Paul’s “ImPaulsive” podcast, Paul Heyman spoke of Cody Rhodes’ dedication as WWE’s leading Superstar. He said,

“Cody Rhodes is the champion, if there’s anybody right now, and my God the business that, he’s a commerce facilitator. He sells tickets, he sells t-shirts, he sells weight belts, he sells replica title belts that he signs, he drives commerce.”

Heyman added that Rhodes’ commitment to WWE extends past making the company money, as he’s always ready to do media appearances. He said,

“‘Cody we need you in Detroit. We’re at 98%, we really want to sell out, we’re going to book you on three morning radio shows starting at 6am in Detroit.’ ‘Great, I’ll be there, if there’s any others overnight, I’ll do the overnight radios too. I’ll do the afternoon drive time radios and then I’ll get to the arena in time for the show.’

“My God man, and he does it on his days off too. The commitment that he has to promote the product, that goes along with it too.”

Rhodes has been one of WWE’s top names since returning to the promotion in April 2022. He captured the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Heyman and Rhodes have shared the ring several times since Cody’s return, primarily as part of Rhodes’ feud with Roman Reigns.

Cody’s next high-profile match will see him defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Kevin Owens in a ladder match at the 2025 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
