WWE embraced the Netflix era with the debut of Monday Night RAW on January 6.
As we reported earlier today here on eWn, the weekly duration of WWE RAW is still a work in progress.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Triple H's strategy for RAW going forward is to keep it at two and a half hours long.
Regarding the Penta segment, Bryan Alvarez mentioned that he was informed that Penta's post-match interview segment ran longer than expected, which resulted in cuts later in the program because WWE aimed for a "two-and-a-half hour window" for RAW last night.
Meltzer also revealed that he heard yesterday that last night's show was designated two and a half hours by WWE.
Alvarez added, "Although they could have extended the time, they did make cuts to ensure it stayed within two and a half hours."
The edits were made to accommodate international networks and broadcasts of RAW, considering the show was intended to last two and a half hours.
And finally, it was noted that extra content was filmed at the venue last night that would be broadcast to viewers overseas.
