Mercedes Mone – 'I Had A Great Relationship With Vince McMahon' + Thunder Rosa Talks Rhea Ripley

Despite walking out of WWE prior to the May 16, 2022 edition of RAW, Mercedes Mone recently told WFAN that she had a “great relationship” with now-disgraced former WWE and TKO Chairman Vince McMahon. She said,
"I had a great relationship with him [Vince McMahon]. I mean I feel like me and Bayley really took over the pandemic era, and that's felt like the relationship really, really grew. That he knew he can count on us and trust on us, and so much so that he gave me the opportunity to main event WrestleMania 37, which was one of my biggest, biggest dreams, so big that I didn't even think that was possible."
During a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa commented on the recent marriage between WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley and AEW wrestler Buddy Matthews and how it could potentially affect WWE’s ongoing storyline involving Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan. She said,
"We're not in the 'super kayfabe' like we were in the 1980s or '90s. I feel like some people understand this as a work, and some don't understand it as a work. Kayfabe, I believe in some aspects, is almost dead unless they have real heat. Everyone handles their personal life differently. Some people love to put everything out [on display]. Others chose not to put everything out. I still think it's going to work. You can always have a side piece."
