During a recent interview with D. Scott for JAMZ 96.3, AEW wrestler Darby Allin commented on whether he’s ready to become the face of All Elite Wrestling.
You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On ready to be the face of AEW: "I really feel like I'm ready for that spot. I say this all the time, but all the crazy stuff I do outside of the ring is not just for laughs and giggles. It actually makes me mentally stronger. Breaking down those barriers. If I can survive this stunt, then why can't I be the face of a company? If I can survive Everest, why can't I be the face of a company? It's just getting stronger mentally."
On his mental strength: "I firmly believe when you risk your life on a monthly basis, it's going to make you pretty strong mentally and I feel like I'm ready to be the face of this whole company."
During a recent interview with Renee Paquette for “AEW Close-Up,” Shelton Benjamin expressed his belief that he was underutilized in his career and is happy to be himself in AEW. He said,
"I definitely feel like I've been suppressed…underutilized, yeah. I've been in the business for a little bit so I've done a few things. And yeah, I've definitely felt like here in AEW I've had the opportunity to show fans who I really am, what I really can do, and not what was me doing what I had to do for the people I was working with previously. I really love that I can really be me here in AEW."
Benjamin currently works alongside MVP and Bobby Lashley as The Hurt Syndicate in AEW.
