A new report sheds light on the backstage reaction within AEW regarding an ROH TV deal nearing completion.

As we previously reported here on eWn, AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery are reportedly “close” to finalizing a TV deal for Ring Of Honor.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many undercard talent at Saturday’s taping in Philadelphia expressed excitement over the news, describing the situation as “a light at the end of the tunnel.”

TruTV is likely ROH’s new home, and Chris Jericho’s ROH World Title win was orchestrated to establish him as the brand’s face during the TV contract negotiations.
