Backstage News On Carlito's Controversial Line On RAW

On last night’s episode of WWE RAW, fans saw a controversial line from Carlito.

During a backstage segment with Adam Pearce, Carlito stated, "I gotta learn Chinese," after Damage CTRL's IYO SKY and Kairi Sane walked out of the shot. For those unaware, both women are Japanese.

Fightful Select is reporting that Carlito's line was not scripted, and at least several people backstage were in disbelief that Carlito said it. Additionally, IYO SKY has been subjected to fans yelling, "Go back to China," at her during live events.

It’s worth noting that the line has been edited out of all WWE’s digital and social clips of the segment. While many in WWE weren't happy the line was spoken, there is no word on if any action has or will be taken against Carlito.
