WWE News & Notes: Odyssey Jones, VP Sends Thank-You Note, Smackdown WritersJeff Whalen
-- Below are various WWE news and notes from Raw and Smackdown:
- After a very successful week of TV shows which included the debut of Raw on Netflix, WWE VP of Line Producing, Brian Fadem, sent a note to the entire WWE production team, thanking them for their work.
- Travel issues related to ice storms and the California fires have also been affecting WWE staff and wrestlers.
- Former WWE star Odyssey Jones surfaced today with a social media video acknowledging rumors of domestic assault against him. Court document that Jones filed against his accuser confirmed that WWE fired him last year when the allegations first came out, though they did it quietly by simply removing him from storylines and their online site.
- WWE previously used to list individuals who would be involved in promos on their internal run-downs but have stopped doing that, perhaps as a way to try and prevent leaks.
- Michael Kirshenbaum and Cristian Scovell were listed as the writers on the promo with Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes promo. Scovell's involvement isn't surprising as he is usually the writer for Rhodes.
- Devyn Prieto and Sondra Lacey were listed as writers for Tiffany Stratton's segment.
