Thunder Rosa Calls Kenny Omega 'The Essence Of AEW,' KOPW Title Retired, TNA Impact Card

During a recent appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Thunder Rosa reacted to Kenny Omega’s in-ring return earlier this week, along with his AEW TV return on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
Rosa said, "I haven't seen Kenny in so long and he looked absolutely amazing [on Wrestle Dynasty]. I feel like Kenny's like the essence of AEW and why AEW was created."
She continued, "When I first came to AEW he was a big, big supporter of the women's division. I have a lot of respect for Kenny."
Omega defeated NJPW wrestler Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty 2025. It was The Cleaner’s first match since December 2023.
NJPW has officially retired the KOPW Championship.
NJPW recently announced that the KOPW Championship would be retired after Great-O-Khan expressed his desire to do so before Wrestle Kingdom 19.
On Thursday, NJPW issued a statement confirming that the title was formally retired by the IWGP Committee.

“IWGP Committee formally retires KOPW title
After the request of KOPW 2024 Champion Great-O-Khan on December 22 2024, the IWGP Committee has hereby formally retired the KOPW Championship.
The KOPW title was created in July 2020 by Kazuchika Okada. With fan votes determining rules, over 50 matches were contested for the KOPW Championships over its lifespan.
On behalf of the IWGP Committee, NJPW thanks fans for their support of the KOPW title, and for their votes and interaction over the years.”
