WWE & AEW News: Sammy Guevara Cleared To Return, Reason For Michael Cole's Absence On Smackdown

-- In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that Sammy Guevara has been officially cleared to return to in-ring activity after previously suffering a concussion on October 2. Guevara seemingly confirmed this on October 16 via a tweet "Good news! LFG!"

-- WWE stated on Friday's Smackdown that Michael Cole was absent due to a "special assignment" while not divulging any further details. Cole appeared on radio and stated that he missed the show due to being on a family vacation in Cozumel, Mexico. The absence was a rare one for the long-time WWE employee, who last missed an episode last year and prior to that in 2017 to attend his son's wedding.
