Trick Williams On Carmelo Hayes: If He Needs My Help, I Got His Back

Trick Williams teases that he and Carmelo Hayes could bury the hatchet at some point.
Trick Williams rose to stardom as Carmelo Hayes’ hype man in NXT before he broke out on his own. Hayes later turned on Williams, and they had a heated rivalry. Williams emerged victorious, and he went on to win the NXT Championship, while Hayes joined the main roster.
Speaking on Going Ringside, Trick Williams was asked whether about potentially reconciling with Carmelo Hayes. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling)
“I mean, to be honest with you, I never had a problem with Melo,” Trick Williams said. “He had a problem with me. But, of course (there's a chance we could rekindle that friendship). If I tell you, 'You're my boy, you're my brother,' I mean that all the way thick and through so, man, I can see us having room to — you know, if he needs my help, I got his back.”
Williams is set to challenge Ethan Page for the NXT Championship on the October 1 episode of NXT. Meanwhile, Hayes picked up a big win against Andrade on the September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown.
