MVP‘s opponent at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XII has been confirmed.

In a tweet, Josh Barnett confirmed that MVP would be facing him at Bloodsport XII on November 24.

“The long history of training and friendship was explained and also revealed as the source of the challenge laid down between MVP and the Warmaster at Bloodsport XI.

Mutual respect and admiration was given, not freely, but earned through respecting the other’s strength. That desire to test one’s strength now decides that a match must happen. A match where limits will not be constrained and both wrestler’s will use all they have down to their very cores, because what is more valuable than he who shed his blood for his friend?

MVP previously appeared at Bloodsport XI and challenged Barnett to a match. He went on to sign with AEW and make his debut at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. The Bloodsport match is set to be MVP’s first bout since July 2022. He underwent stem cell treatment earlier this year, and he later said that his knee was pain-free.
