Minoru Suzuki swerved Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite.

On the June 22 episode of AEW Collision, Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and HOOK challenged Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Jericho, Bill, and Keith came to the ring on the June 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, and Keith’s arm was in a sling. It was clear that Keith would be unable to compete, but Jericho and Bill revealed that they had a back-up plan. Jericho cued up a video message to reveal Keith’s replacement.

Minoru Suzuki was shown on the video screen, but Suzuki instantly turned on Jericho, saying that he did not want anything to do with The Learning Tree. Instead, he challenged Jericho to defend the FTW Championship against him.

Joe, HOOK, and Shibata came out to confront Jericho, Bill, and Keith. The two teams brawled, and at least according to AEW’s social media, the trios match is still on for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
