The finals of the WWE World Tag Team Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament are set for the October 28 episode of WWE RAW.

On the October 14 episode of WWE RAW, the War Raiders defeated Alpha Academy in a first-round match in the tournament. The competition continued with two first-round matches on the October 21 episode of WWE RAW.

First, the New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) faced the Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar). During the match, The Miz came to ringside and spoke with Karrion Kross. R-Truth came down and brawled with The Miz. He also fought off Kross. The distraction cost AOP the match. After the bell, The Miz and AOP attacked R-Truth. The Wyatt Sicks then made their way out to the ring and took the fight to The Miz and The Final Testament. Uncle Howdy took Paul Ellering out with the Mandible Claw.

Later in the show, the LWO (Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee) battled American Made (Brutus and Julius Creed). The two teams battled it out, and in the closing moments, Chad Gable and Ivy Nile interfered. Zelina Vega took out Nile, and the LWO scored the win.

As a result, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee will face The New Day and The War Raiders on the October 28 episode of WWE RAW. The winner of the match will earn a shot at the WWE World Tag Team Championship. The titles are currently held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day.
