Billie Starkz: I Am Beyond Blessed With What Wrestling Has Brought Me

Billie Starkz never thought she’d get signed to a major professional wrestling company.
Ring of Honor‘s Billie Starkz recently sat down with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. While reflecting on her journey so far in professional wrestling, Starkz admitted when she was 16 she never thought she was going to be signed to a company like AEW.
“Everybody told me since I was 16, 'You're going to get signed. You're going to get picked up. You're going to disappear.' I never believed it until I was putting pen to paper and I was like, 'There is a contract in front of me, I have to make a decision.' I am beyond blessed with what wrestling has brought me,” Starkz said. “If you told 13-year-old Billie Starkz that this would be my life right now, she would laugh in your face and be like, 'You're lying.'”
When asked if there are any other young stars out there right now that she feels like she can relate to, Starkz names TNA Knockout Jordynne Grace and AEW’s Sammy Guevara.
“Jordynne Grace is a great example,” Billie Starkz said. “Sammy Guevara has been really great. Especially at AEW, talking about starting young and evolving in the business slowly but surely.” [H/T: Fightful]
