Backstage News On Why WWE Moved Title Match Off Of Raw On Netflix PremiereJeff Whalen

-- After introducing and crowning the first ever WWE Women's United States Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE is now getting ready to do the same with the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Title with the finals set for the January 13 episode of Raw, which will be the second such show on Netflix. Some found this a bit curious on why the company didn't include the match on the January 6th Netflix premiere as a way to further stack the show and it appears there is a good reason that they didn't go in that direction.

-- Speaking on WrestleVotes Radio, it was noted that WWE originally had the finals penciled in for the Netflix debut but scrapped those plans because they didn't want the match to get "lost in the shuffle." The report added that WWE is looking to get the title off to a running start in a "big way" and the overarching feeling was that by crowning a new champion on a show that is already packed would not do it justice in the way that it deserves. Hence, the match was pushed out a week.
