Kenny Omega‘s return to AEW Dynamite has been announced.

Omega had been sidelined since December 2023 due to diverticulitis. He made a one-off return on the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, where The Elite attacked him. Omega then underwent surgery, and he remained absent from AEW until he returned at AEW Worlds End. There, he presented Kazuchika Okada with the AEW Continental Championship after he won the Continental Classic.

In a vignette at AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, Kenny Omega said that he was still the Best Bout Machine, and it wasn’t over. The vignette then noted that Omega would return to AEW Dynamite next week.

Outside of AEW, Kenny Omega appeared at NJPW Power Struggle. He got into a backstage altercation with Gabe Kidd and later agreed to face him at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
