Can the Yankees win another and clinch their first series of the season in Boston?

The first chapter of the 2024 Yankees vs. Red Sox rivalry couldn't have been much happier for the Yankees. In his first game back in Boston after being sent across the divide, Alex Verdugo responded to Red Sox fans' boos with a massive game to lead the way in an 8-1 victory. Now today, the Yankees will look to sew up another series win in game two from Fenway Park.

Going for the Yankees on the mound in this one will be Carlos Rodón. He's been very good of late and is coming in on the back of a seven-inning, one-run outing in Kansas City earlier this week. Even last year while he was struggling, he put in one of his better outings of the season in against Boston, in what was his first taste of the rivalry.

After not playing last night, DJ LeMahieu is back in the lineup, playing third base and hitting ninth. Austin Wells will also get the game at catcher after Jose Trevino started last night.

For Boston, Cooper Criswell will take the hill. For the season, Criswell's done decently, but he has been so-so in recent starts.

With all that out of the way, here's out to catch the action, so come join us in the game thread for tonight's game!
