So, about that UFC comeback...

As promised, Conor McGregor is running for President of Ireland.

The former UFC two-division champion is fed up with the current political landscape and hopes to use his considerable clout to "save Ireland" from the current administration. "Notorious" is certainly a worthy candidate with his history of unprovoked violence, dangerous driving, and civil assault cases.

Don't forget to hide your cell phones!

"Ireland, the choice is yours and it is an easy one," McGregor wrote on Twitter. "Vote for me as your President and we will SAVE IRELAND TOGETHER!"

I can think of at least one Irishman who won't be voting for Connie.

McGregor got a taste of political power when he went to visit U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this week in Washington, D.C., where "Notorious" petitioned his "big brother" to help remedy the ongoing immigration issues back home. McGregor now claims to have the support of the Trump administration.

Whether or not that translates to votes in Ireland remains to be seen.
