Colby Covington is apparently beginning to get tired of keeping up a ‘persona’, according to an ex-UFC lightweight.
In his career, ‘Chaos’ has made a reputation for his wild antics outside the cage.
While he’s proven his wrestling credentials on fight night beyond doubt, the American has gained more notoriety for his trash-talking prowess.
However, engaging in so many verbal sparring matches is apparently beginning to take its toll.

Paul Felder says Colby Covington is ‘struggling’ to keep up his persona
Recently, Paddy Pimblett had a run-in with Colby Covington and said the grappler just stared at the floor.
However, this isn’t because the former world title challenger was scared necessarily, but, according to Paul Felder, merely because the wrestler is putting on an act, which is beginning to drain him.
During an episode of The Believe You Me Podcast, ‘The Irish Dragon’ said: “I wanna start with this one, there was also an encounter with Kamaru Usman, when Kamaru walked past Colby Covington, and he was nothing but respectful.
“I think now, his persona is fading, I think he’s struggling to keep up that MAGA, Mr America, bully from college persona. I think he, in himself, is struggling to get through it.
“He is quiet in person; the real situation is, he has nothing against you, Paddy Pimblett, he doesn’t actually want to talk s— to you. He’s only doing it to stay relevant.
“When he’s finally retired, he’ll be the first to tell you, it was all bull—-. I think now, towards the end of his career, he’s struggling to keep the same face with that.
“That’s the problem when that kind of personality isn’t genuine, because it’s not.”

Even those who’ve shared a gym with him have struggled to deal with what he brings to the table.
And on one occasion, things went a little too far.
