After testing the free agency waters, Teoscar Hernández returned to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a three-year, $66 million contract that includes a team option for the 2028 season.
It was the ideal outcome for both sides as Hernández landed the contract he desired and the Dodgers retained a key contributor from their 2024 World Series roster.
The Dodgers’ World Series win has prompted various tributes around Los Angeles, including several murals from famed artists.
Gustavo Zermeño, Jr. painted a new Dodgers World Series mural featuring Hernández, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Tommy Edman and Shohei Ohtani.

Zermeño's previous work includes an Ohtani mural at Oceanview Liquor in Hermosa Beach. He has also honored Freeman and Kiké Hernández with murals in Los Angeles as well.
Zermeño additionally paid tribute to Los Angeles Kings players Drew Doughty and Dustin Brown with a mural in Hermosa Beach. They were paired with Ohtani and Betts representing the Dodgers.
Teoscar Hernández: ‘Money wasn’t an issue’ to re-sign
During a press conference at Dodger Stadium on Friday, Hernández explained his free agency process and reiterated why re-signing with the Dodgers was so important to him.
"Honestly, when I went to free agency, I think I made it clear that the Dodgers were the priority and I was going to do everything in my power to come back," Hernández said.
"For me, money wasn't an issue. I could've waited for more offers from other teams, but the money wasn't going to be the difference. I could get, like, $5 or $6 million more from other teams, but if you put me in a place where I had to decide, I would've decided to come back.
"Just because the way this organization is, the way this organization treats family and the players, to me that is more important than anything."
