Teoscar Hernández made it a top priority to sign back with the Dodgers this offseason, and entering the 2025 season, his bat and effervescent personality will remain in Los Angeles for the next three years.
Hernández was reintroduced to the Dodgers during a press conference on Friday alongside manager Dave Roberts and general manager Brandon Gomes. Gomes reflected on what Hernández brought to the team, noting his infectious love for the game of baseball and his willingness to step up in big opportunities, per Beth Harris of the Associated Press.
"He always put the team first and you could see that there was a real love of the game that he brought to the field each and every day," general manager Brandon Gomes said. "I do think because of the way he plays with such passion and joy, when those big moments came up, it was something that he really cherished and was able to put the team first and slow the heartbeat down and do whatever was needed in that situation."
Gomes also outlined the corner outfield alignment for the Dodgers, slotting Hernández in left field and Michael Conforto as the everyday right fielder.
