Dodgers News: Former General Manager Farhan Zaidi Reportedly in Talks with the Dodgers About Potentially Rejoining Their Front Office
Today at 08:50 PM
According to Major League Baseball insider Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, former San Fransisco Giants President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi is in talks to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers front office.
Zaidi, 48, was the Los Angeles Dodgers General Manager from November 2014 until the end of the 2018 season, when he took the opportunity to lead his own club with their National League West rival, the San Fransico Giants.
After a mediocre six-year tenure in the Bay, the Giants fired Zaidi and replaced him with long-time backstop Buster Posey, signaling a new age of San Francisco Giants baseball.
It remains unclear what role Zaidi would potentially fill. Currently, his former position with the club is taken by Brandon Gomes, who was hired as the Los Angeles Dodgers’ General Manager prior to the 2022 season.
However, Zaidi’s tenure with the Dodgers was memorable as he was instrumental in setting up the “Golden Era” of Dodgers baseball, creating winning teams from 2015 until 2018, which included two National League pennants.
