WNBA Reveals Big Caitlin Clark Fact During Season Finale

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are playing in their final game of the season, competing against the Washington Mystics in the nation's capital on Thursday.

While playing against the Mystics, Clark secured another historic WNBA record. In the first quarter of the game, Clark surpassed WNBA legend and Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi, now listed at No. 2 on the league's three-point total for a single season.

Clark notched her 122nd three-pointer of the season. Taurasi's record record came in 2006 when the WNBA's regular season was capped at 34 games.

New York Liberty Sabrina Ionescu currently holds the WNBA record for the most three-pointers made in a single season with 128.

Heading into the game against the Mystics, Clark was averaging 19.5 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. She's No. 2 on the Fever in average points, behind Kelsey Mitchell, but she's No. 1 in the entire WNBA in terms of average assists.

The rookie was shooting 34.1% from three-point range, with just over three made shots from beyond the arc in every game before their matchup in Washington.

Clark's name in the same conversation with top-level players like Taurasi and Ionescu proves that the rookie has been one of the best players in the WNBA all season.

The Fever's scoring weapon has led the team back to the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2016. After they conclude their game against the Mystics, Indiana will prepare for a new journey in the postseason.
