Meet The Wife Of Ohio State Coach Ryan Day (1:51)

We're only two days away from Ohio State and Texas playing in the Cotton Bowl for the right to play in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on January 20.

It's a matchup that's expected to have a lot of fireworks due to the way both teams are playing. Ohio State crushed Tennesee and Oregon in the first two rounds while Texas crushed Clemson in the first round and survived a scare from Arizona State in the quarterfinals.

Former Florida and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been previewing this matchup all week and when it was time for him to make his pick, he went with Ohio State by one score.

"I think the way they're playing right now, the confidence level, I see them covering the spread. I think it will be a good game for the three quarters and I think they'll win by a score in the fourth quarter," Meyer said.

The Buckeyes come into the game as a 5.5-point favorite on ESPN and FanDuel but a six-point favorite on DraftKings. Meyer likes them to cover that spread and win by a score to advance to the title game on January 20.

Ryan Day's squad has been on fire these last two weeks. That loss to the Michigan Wolverines may have lit a fire in them because since then, this has been a completely different Buckeyes team.

They've been firing on all cylinders these last two weeks and have left no doubt on the field. They are looking to win their first national title in a decade after winning it all during the 2014 season.

Kickoff for Friday's Cotton Bowl between these two great teams will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. It will be one day after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish play the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Orange Bowl.

Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will have the call.
