There's growing concern for longtime actress Hayden Panettiere.

Panettiere, who has starred in movies like "Remember the Titans" and "I Love You, Beth Cooper," sparked concern in a recent interview with PEOPLE. Panettiere opened up about her brother's sudden death. Her brother, Jansen, died of an undiagnosed heart condition at 28 years old in 2023. It emotionally wrecked her. He was her only sibling and the tragic death was sudden and shocking. "He was my only sibling, and it was my job to protect him," she told PEOPLE. "When I lost him, I felt like I lost half of my soul."

But fans are growing concerned for Panettiere following her interview with PEOPLE.

Hayden opened up about what it was like following her brother's death.

"I had to see horrific paparazzi pictures of myself coming out of Jansen's funeral, which happened in a very private place, and it was shocking," she added. "My agoraphobia came out, which is something I've struggled with in the past."

But in the interview with PEOPLE, Hayden didn't look like herself, sparking concerns.

"Poor Hayden. Obviously not sober. Do better People," one user wrote.

"I'm shocked this is posted…it's uncomfortable and sad to watch," another fan wrote.

One fan added: "This is complete exploitation. This is an addict who is clearly very unsober [sic]."

"This interview should be removed asap!!" another wrote.

A rep for the actress denied to Page Six that Panettiere has relapsed.

The rep said that Hayden was "speaking about her brother for the first time was very emotional for her — and it had been a long and exhausting day for her. She was not under the influence."
