The Houston Texans will be without a few notable players for their Week 9 matchup against the New York Jets.

Houston already suffered a devastating injury blow when confirming that Stefon Diggs will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Additionally, the Texans ruled out four players for their Thursday Night Football contest.

According to their latest injury report, linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee), safety Jimmie Ward (groin), running back Dameon Pierce (groin), and center Jarrett Patterson (concussion) will all miss Thursday's game.

Houston also listed safety Calen Bullock (shoulder), cornerback Kamari Lassiter (shoulder), and Henry To'oTo'o (concussion) as full practice participants without a game designation. They should all suit up for the Halloween matchup at MetLife Stadium.

Signed to a $34 million contract this offseason, Al-Shaair has tallied 40 tackles, a forced fumble, and a sack this season. He hasn't played since leaving Week 6's win over the New England Patriots.

Ward has missed four of the last five games and played 12 snaps in Week 5 before returning to the sideline. The 33-year-old notched 17 tackles and a pass break-up.

Pierce began his career by recording 1,104 scrimmage yards in 2022, but his role has since diminished in Houston. The fourth-round pick has 99 yards and a score on 15 touches this season.

Patterson has primarily played on special teams since starting a Week 2 victory over the Chicago Bears. The sixth-round pick started seven games last season.

The Thursday Night Football game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
