The University of Miami football program has had many big names come through over the years, and that includes Dwayne Johnson.

Johnson became one of the biggest entertainment figures in the world after his football career ended. But "The Rock" still carries a special place in his heart for his alma mater, and that's why he's stocked to see them land a commitment from top-prospect Armondo Blount on Monday.

"He's a beast! Welcome home Love what @coachcristobal is doing at @CanesFootball landing the best D linemen in the country," Johnson tweeted. "Shout to Coach @JasonTaylor Building legacy, step by step. #HardestWorkersInTheRoom."

Blount, a five-star prospect from Miami, Florida, reportedly choose to stay home over other big time schools like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Notre Dame, and others.

Blount will also have the opportunity to work with Miami Dolphins legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, who recently joined the Hurricanes coaching staff.

On the field this fall, Miami is off to a 3-0 start and ranked 20th in the AP poll heading into this week's game against former Big East conference mate Temple.
