Scottie Scheffler was invited to ESPN's College GameDay on Saturday, and the special guest picker didn't disappoint.

Scheffler, a two-time Masters winner, wore his green jacket on stage in Austin. He picked his Longhorns to defeat Georgia on Saturday night in the biggest game of the day, getting the crowd excited for a top-five SEC showdown.

Scheffler also had a little fun at the expense of the city where he was arrested earlier this year during the PGA Championship.

During the picks for Saturday's game between Louisville and Miami, Scheffler took a shot at the Cardinals' chances in the game.

"Not to bring anything personal into this with Louisville, great city, love the people, but Miami is gonna smoke them," said the top golfer, bringing laughs from the rest of the GameDay panel.

Scheffler was arrested in Louisville earlier this year following an issue with an officer near Valhalla Golf Club. Scheffler attempted to drive to the course for the second round of the tournament when an officer arrested him after making contact with the golfer's car.

Scheffler was charged with a felony for assaulting an officer, but the charges were dropped. A judge deemed the incident a "misunderstanding" and said that Scheffler was not at fault for any injury or distress to the officer.

"The evidence we reviewed supports the conclusion that Detective Gillis was concerned for public safety at the scene when he initiated contact with Mr. Scheffler," said Jefferson County Attorney Mike O'Connell.

"However, Mr. Scheffler's actions and the evidence surrounding their exchange during this misunderstanding do not satisfy the elements of any criminal offenses."

Scheffler returned to the tournament the same day he was arrested, and played his round without an issue.

The arrest was a blip on an otherwise incredible year for Scheffler, who won the Masters for the second time in three years in April. A few months later, he became an Olympic gold medalist in Paris, and he ended the golf season by winning the FedEx Cup.

We'll see what the world's No. 1 golfer can do for an encore in 2025.
