The San Francisco 49ers saw a huge return last week in Christian McCaffrey, who helped them win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday with 107 scrimmage yards in his season debut.

The 49ers are finally over .500 for the season after winning two of their last three games, but they are also dealing with more injury issues this week.

Tight end George Kittle and defensive end Nick Bosa each missed practice on Wednesday, just days before the 49ers play the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite having two of his best players absent from practice on Wednesday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was optimistic.

"Bosa was able to get through it last week. Kittle, I expect to have him out there tomorrow. It's just irritated," Shanahan said about his two star players, according to David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com.

"We'll be smart today, but you never know how the week goes. But I feel pretty good about both of them."

Bosa suffered a hip injury in practice last week, but played through it during the win over the Jags. Kittle hurt his hamstring in the game against Jacksonville, but it seems that the team simply kept him out of practice on Thursday as a precaution.

The 49ers are currently second in a very competitive NFC West divisional race. All four teams are within one game of each other in the standings, making each matchup between them extremely important the rest of the way.

The 49ers have already lost to the division-leading Arizona Cardinals once this season, and they won't face them again until Week 18. That game could end up deciding which team wins the division, a common fate for the NFC West over the last few years.

This week, San Francisco will look to accomplish a season sweep over the Seattle Seahawks. They defeated Seattle during a Thursday night matchup on the road earlier this season, and will look to win the rematch at home on Sunday afternoon.

We'll see what happens on Sunday, and we'll see if Kittle and Bosa make their return to 49ers practice on Thursday ahead of this weekend's game.
